Early Years

Born on July 27, 1955, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Randy began riding motorcycles at the age of 4 on a home made mini bike. He would ride by his dad to stop him because the bike had no brakes. Randy grew up with motorcycles. His parents, Bill & Mona Cleek, owned a motorcycle shop and were local promoters-sponsors. Bill also raced in local race tracks, scrambles and hillclimb events. Randy rode in his first race around the age of 10 and began riding seriously at the age of 12. He raced on local oval tracks and scrambles.
